Gathering information on conference guests can be a difficult task due to medical legal regulations. For conference app projects, I refer to previous findings compiled from my observational research and informal interviews.
- Guests attend medical conferences to stay up-to-date with the industry, discuss new study results, and network with other medical professionals and companies. They may be healthcare professionals, researchers, students, and patient advocates from around the globe.
- The exhibition hall is a place for guests to spend time between lectures and workshops. It also acts as a networking space with coffee and food, which is the main highlight.
- Guests are not particularly interested in company booths unless they have questions about new products or research studies. Some may even avoid entering booths because of excessive advertising. Consequently, it is a challenge for companies to attract guests and keep them engaged inside their booths.
