I'm a designer because...

Our lives are shaped by our experiences with technology, and I believe these interactions should be as seamless and unobtrusive as possible. My goal as a designer is to create solutions that address the needs of users and businesses, while being mindful of the context in which their problems exist.

My path as a designer:

• I discovered the joy of creating interactive applications and organizing information through the magic of HyperCard in my elementary school computer lab
   
• Years later, I graduated from the Hons. BSc program at the University of Toronto, specializing in Human-Computer Interaction
   
• During my 4 years at INVIVO Communications, I had the opportunity to lead the UX design on over 120 digital projects and pitches, transforming medical content into interactive solutions.
   
  • I designed for a wide variety of platforms including mobile, tablet, web, VR, and interactive installation projects (my personal favourite!)
     
  • I learned how to work in a digital agency environment, adapting to different problems and constraints
     
• I am currently working in San Francisco, as a remote contractor for Realized Design, a studio that specializes in digital consultancy and UX services.

• I volunteer at the San Francisco SPCA as a cat socializer (yep, that means playing with cats!)
   
• I also love indoor cycling, travelling, and learning languages
